Debi Gliori

Debi Gliori (* 1959 in Glasgow ) is a Scottish author and illustrator of children's and youth literature .

Life

She studied art in Edinburgh from 1979 to 1984 and received a scholarship to study in Milan. Gliori began writing children's books as early as 1976. She has been working as a freelancer since 1984. She wrote and illustrated numerous picture books and was a. a. known for the picture book series about Mr. Bear .

In 2001 she published her first children's novel Pure Dead Magic (German: Voll nasty enchanted ), which is characterized by the typical British humor.

She lives in Scotland with her husband and five children.
