Georg Bydlinski
Georg Bydlinski (born May 30, 1956 in Graz ) is an Austrian writer .
Life
Georg Bydlinski grew up as the son of the legal scholar Franz Bydlinski in Styria , in the Rhineland and in the vicinity of Vienna . His younger brother is the cabaret artist Mini Bydlinski . The two university professors for civil law, Peter (professor at the University of Graz) and Michael (professor at the University of Linz and judge at the Supreme Court) are also his brothers. He studied English and religious education at the University of Vienna and graduated in 1981 with a master's degree. Since 1982 he has lived as a freelance writer in Mödling . In 1990 he took part in the Ingeborg Bachmann Competition in Klagenfurt .
Georg Bydlinski is the author of novels and children's books and poems . He also works as an editor of anthologies and as a translator .
Georg Bydlinski was a member of the board of directors of IG Autorinnen Authors (professional political interest group of Austrian writers) from 1983 to 2010 ; He is a member of the Grazer Autorenversammlung , the Austrian Writers' Association , the literature circle podium and the Friedrich-Bödecker circle Hannover . Bydlinski played in the youth soccer team of FC Admira Wacker Mödling and was libero of the Austrian national literature team until 2011 (a total of 5 years).
Musically he has been working with producer Thomas Raber since 2013.
