Theodor Körner Prize

The Theodor Körner Prize for the Promotion of Science and Art is awarded annually to several young scientists and artists who have not yet passed the age of 40. The Theodor-Körner-Fonds was founded in 1953 on the occasion of the 80th birthday of the Austrian Federal President Theodor Körner ( SPÖ ).

NoteThe Theodor-Körner-Fonds later published a critical statement on the awarding of the prize to Gross, whose scientific career was partly based on preparations that he had won in the context of euthanasia killings .
