Rupert Falkner

Rupert Falkner (born February 5, 1930 in Linz ) is an Austrian architect and draftsman.

Life

After graduating from the Federal Trade School in Linz , Rupert Falkner worked at the Linz City Planning Office and in the Lassy architectural office. He then studied architecture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna under Clemens Holzmeister , of which he was also a collaborator.

From 1960 Falkner worked as a freelance architect in Vienna and planned numerous residential and public buildings for Vienna. One of his most important works is the New Town Hall in Linz, which he planned together with Anton Fürtler . He also had an office in Steyr .

Falkner is also active in the field of architecture research and studies, for example on the subject of family-friendly living and workplace-integrated housing of the future.
