Phumlile Sibonakele Ndzinisa (born August 21, 1992 in Lobamba ) is a sprinter from Swaziland .

Athletic career

Phumlile Ndzinisa gained her first experience at international championships in 2009 at the World Youth Championships in Bressanone , where she was eliminated in the first round in the 200-meter run with 26.24 s, as well as at the African Championships the following year in Nairobi with 26.27 s . In 2011 she finished sixth at the Junior African Championships in Gaborone over 200 meters in 24.83 s and was seventh in the 400-meter run in 55.76 s. She then took part in the World Championships in Daegu over 200 meters , but was eliminated there with 24.15 s in the lead. Then she got at the Africa Games in Maputo over 200 and 400 meters to the semi-finals, in which she was eliminated with 24.24 s and 54.26 s. The following year she was eliminated from the African Championships in Porto-Novo over 400 meters with 55.37 s in the preliminary round and reached the semi-finals over 200 meters, in which she was eliminated with 24.45 s. Thanks to a wildcard, she was allowed to take part in the Olympic Games in London over 400 meters for the first time , but was eliminated in the first round with 53.95 s .

Also at the World Athletics Championships in Moscow in 2013 she was allowed to start on the basis of a wildcard and did not reach the semifinals there with 56.36 seconds. The following year she got at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow over 200 meters to the semi-finals, in which she was eliminated with 24.32 s, while she was eliminated over 400 meters with 56.38 s in the run. Then she was at the African Championships in Marrakech in 23.89 s and 54.96 s each eighth in both competitions. In 2015 she again took part in the Africa Games in Brazzaville , where she finished sixth over 200 meters in 23.69 s, while she was eliminated in the semifinals over 400 meters with a new national record of 53.02 s. The following year she was at the African Championships in Durban in 11.46 s fifth in the 100-meter run and could not finish her semi-final over 200 meters. Over 100 meters she took part again in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , where she was eliminated with 12.49 s in the preliminary round.

In 2018 she again took part in the Commonwealth Games over 100 meters in the Australian Gold Coast , where she was eliminated in the first round with 12.11 seconds. In August she reached the semi-finals at the African Championships in Asaba over 100 meters, in which she was eliminated with 12.10 s. The following year she reached the semi-finals in her third Africa Games in Rabat over 100 and 200 meters, in which she was eliminated with 12.01 s and 24.68 s.
