Othmar Franz Lang

Othmar Franz Lang (born July 8, 1921 in Vienna ; † 2005 ; pseud. Bryan S. Buckingham , Hannes Hofer ) was an Austrian writer.

Lang was a trained chemist and after his military service worked as a dramaturge, reporter, editor and in several other professions. Since 1953 he has been a freelance writer. He wrote over 60 books that have been translated into 18 languages.

Lang was awarded the Austrian State Prize for Children's and Young People's Literature (1961), the City of Vienna 's Children's and Young People 's Book Prize (1955) and the special prize for the German Young People's Literature Prize.
