Mike Markart (born August 25, 1961 in Graz ) is an Austrian writer .

Life

In the 1980s, Mike Markart was one of the young Graz writers around the magazine Perspektive and made his debut in 1985/86 with two volumes of poetry in the Gangan Verlag , which in 1991 also published his first novel, Die Einzelteile des Lebens . After working primarily in the radio play and theater sector in the 1990s and early 2000s, novels and short stories have been published regularly since 2008. In addition to extended stays in Italy, the freelance author now lives in Stainz in western Styria.
