Sara Ostertag

Sara Ostertag (* 1985 in Vienna ) is an Austrian theater director and theater maker .

Life

Sara Ostertag studied theater directing and choreography at the Zurich University of the Arts with Milo Rau and in Amsterdam. In 2010 she co-founded the makemake productions association . Since then she has worked as a theater director at the Dschungel Wien, the Landestheater Niederösterreich , the Vorarlberger Landestheater , the Oldenburgische Staatstheater , the Philharmonie Luxembourg , the Kopergietery in Gent , the Theater Konstanz and the Festival Wien Modern . At the State Theater Mainz Ostertag worked for 3 years as a house director from the season 2014/2015. Since 2016, Ostertag has been artistic director of the SCHÄXPIR Festival for Young Audiences in Linz together with Julia Ransmayr . Since 2017 she has also worked as a dramaturge for Florentina Holzinger , whose plays are performed worldwide. In 2018 Sara Ostertag completed the postgraduate course in curating in the scenic arts at the University of Salzburg .
