Andrea Drumbl

Andrea Drumbl (born July 8, 1976 in Lienz / East Tyrol) is an Austrian writer .

Life

Andrea Drumbl grew up in Carinthia ( Kötschach-Mauthen ) and after graduating from high school, studied German philology and comparative literature at the University of Vienna in 2001 . In 2006 she completed her studies with Mag. Phil. from.

Drumbl published texts in magazines and anthologies. Her first novel The freedom of birds under a second sun because the first one seems too beautiful appeared in 2013, with a foreword by Büchner Prize winner Josef Winkler . In 2014 Narziss und Narcissus appeared , in autumn 2015 their third novel Die Einverleibten .

Drumbl is a member of the Graz Authors' Assembly (GAV) and the interest group of Austrian authors (IG Authors Authors). 

Andrea Drumbl has a daughter (* 2014) and a son (* 2017) with the Austrian-Swiss writer Martin K. Menzinger.
