Walter Wippersberg

Walter Johannes Maria Wippersberg (born July 4, 1945 in Steyr , Upper Austria ; † January 31, 2016 there ) was an Austrian writer, theater director, filmmaker and photo artist.

Wippersberg studied theater studies, art history and psychology in Vienna. From 1965 to 1970 he was a set designer and director on various small stages. Since 1990 he has taught screenwriting and dramaturgy at the Vienna Film Academy .
