Christoph Breidler

Christoph Breidler (born November 27, 1986 in Graz ) is an Austrian composer and conductor .

Life

Christoph Breidler was born to Elisabeth and Arnold Breidler. After early studies at the Johann Joseph Fux Conservatory in Graz , he studied composition and conducting at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna , a. a. with Michael Jarrell and Mark Stringer. Further studies took him to the Shanghai Conservatory of Music .

In 2006, together with Hannes Dufek and Fernando Riederer, he founded the composers' initiative “Platypus - Association for New Music”. From 2011 and 2014 he was solo coach and conductor at the Aachen Theater . Since 2014 he has been a director of studies with conducting duties at the Komische Oper Berlin .

Christoph Breidler conducted a. a. the orchestra of the Komische Oper Berlin, the Aachen Symphony Orchestra , the Duisburg Philharmonic , Ensemblekollektiv Berlin, Kyoto IMSFO, ensemble mosaik, Ensemble Lux: NM and the Ensemble Platypus.
