Nadine Kegele

Nadine Kegele (* 1980 in Bludenz ) is an Austrian author .

Life

After graduating from school in 1995, Kegele first completed an apprenticeship as an office clerk. Following her “escape to Vienna” (Kegele) in 1998, she worked as a media buyer and financial assistant until 2004, and from 2004 as a night secretary for a law firm. In 2002 she acquired the university entrance qualification in the second educational path. She completed her German studies at the University of Vienna in 2013 with a thesis on Marlene Streeruwitz .

Kegele wrote reviews for, among others, an.schlag and em the online magazine CHiLLi.cc . She published literary texts in numerous literary magazines and anthologies. Her book debut Annalieder was published in 2013, and in the same year she was invited to the Ingeborg Bachmann Prize , where she won the audience award with her extract from the novel, Shards to Swallow .
