Gregor Gatscher-Riedl

Gregor Gatscher-Riedl (born November 25, 1974 in Mödling ) is an Austrian historian, archivist and journalist.

Life

Gatscher-Riedl visited in Perchtoldsdorf elementary school and the modern languages Bundesgymnasium and Bundesrealgymnasium Perchtoldsdorf . After graduating from high school, he studied law at the University of Vienna from the winter semester 1993/94 . In the winter semester of 1994/95 he switched to history and political science . The graduation to Mag. Phil. was in the winter semester 2001/02. He passed the diploma examination on October 17, 2001 "with distinction". From the 2005/06 winter semester onwards, he pursued a doctoral degree in philosophy and history at the University of Vienna. After completing the Rigorosum on January 18, 2008 "with distinction", he was awarded a Dr. phil. PhD . At the Hans Sachs Institute in Wels, he completed a Master of Public Administration course . The graduation was on April 26th, 2010. In the summer semester 2011 he was in Slovakia doing a rigorous course in Central European Studies at the philosopher Konstantin University in Nitra . The Rigorosum was on November 8th, 2011. As a member of the Sonnberg student association in Perchtoldsdorf (1991), the Catholic Pennalie “Buchengau” in Czernowitz and the Nibelungia Vienna in the Austrian Cartel Association (1994), he publishes articles on student history .

From 1996 to 1998 he was involved in the research project "National Socialism in Linz", which was supervised by the Linz City Archives . Since August 1999 he has headed the Perchtoldsdorf archive . From September 2000 to January 2001 and from October 2001 to January 2002 he was on a freelance contract with the Institute of Austrian Biographical Lexicon and for the biographical documentation of the Austrian Academy of Sciences . From February 2002 to January 2003 he did community service in Austria at the Vienna Federal Police Directorate . There he was the shop steward for those doing community service. Since July 1, 2003 contract employee of the market town of Perchtoldsdorf, on May 1, 2012 he became a civil servant .

In addition to his main job, he publishes in the Niederösterreichische Nachrichten , district edition Mödling / Perchtoldsdorf, and in the magazine David . He is the editor-in-chief of the local history supplement to the official gazette of the Mödling district administration.

At Raiffeisenregionalbank Mödling eGen he is a cooperative board member.

At the Dr. Ladislaus Batthyány Strattmann prayer community for the canonization of the doctor of the poor , he is the executive president.
