Order of the Star of Ethiopia
The Order of the Star of Ethiopia is an order that Menelik II founded around 1884 in his capacity as Negus (sovereign) of Shewa (before he became Emperor of Ethiopia in 1889 ).
According to George Montandon , it was originally awarded in five stages.
