Heinz Kruschel

Heinz Kruschel (born October 8, 1929 in Leopoldshall ; † December 13, 2011 in Magdeburg ) was a German writer .

Life

Heinz Kruschel was the son of a commercial employee . He completed an apprenticeship as a model carpenter , which he completed with the skilled worker examination. In 1949/50 he studied at the teacher training institute in Staßfurt . He then worked from 1950 to 1952 as a teacher in Sandersdorf , from 1952 to 1955 in Magdeburg and from 1955 to 1958 in Egeln . After completing a distance learning course in German studies , Kruschel was director of an extended secondary school in Havelberg from 1958 to 1961 . From 1961 to 1963 he worked as a journalist and culture editor for the Magdeburg daily Volksstimme ; from 1963 he lived as a freelance writer in Magdeburg . In the 1960s he toured a. a. Hungary , Bulgaria , Uzbekistan and Cuba .

The author Heinz Kruschel began to write columnist articles and reports (partly under the pseudonym Heinz Engelke ). His narrative work includes both short stories and novels for children and adults; several of his books from the 1960s are about West German militarism . Erwin Stranka filmed his novel Gesucht wird die freundliche Welt in 1978 under the title Sabine Wulff .

Heinz Kruschel had been a member of the Friedrich Bödecker Circle since 1990 ; until 1999 he was chairman of the Saxony-Anhalt regional association . He received u. a. The following awards: 1973 the Erich Weinert Prize of the City of Magdeburg , 1974 the Theodor Körner Prize , 1974 the Order “ Banner of Labor ”, 1977 the Literature Prize of the FDGB and 1980 the Patriotic Order of Merit .

He is the father of the writer Karsten Kruschel .
