Hubert Christian Ehalt (born May 18, 1949 in Vienna ) is an Austrian historian and anthropologist . He is a private lecturer in modern social history at the University of Vienna , was a science officer for the City of Vienna and coordinator of the Vienna lectures until 2017 , is secretary general of five city science funding funds, president of the Society of Friends and honorary member of the Austrian Academy of Sciences , honorary professor at the university for Applied Arts Vienna and the Vienna University of Technology as well as holder of the professional title of university professor and the French knightly order Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres (German knight of the arts and literature).

Life

Hubert Christian Ehalt studied painting, history, art history, sociology, philosophy, psychology and education in Vienna (Dr. phil.) And qualified as a professor for modern social history at the University of Vienna . Since 1980 he has been a lecturer, university lecturer, university professor and visiting professor at Austrian universities.

1984–2017 he was science advisor for the City of Vienna.
