Brigitte Pixner

Brigitte Pixner (* 1942 in Vienna ) is an Austrian author . She writes poetry , short stories , aphorisms and novels.

Life

Brigitte Pixner lives in Vienna and is married to Gottfried Pixner . She completed a law degree and was editor-in-chief of " Bakschisch - magazine for humorous and bizarre texts " from 1981 to 1987 , in which articles by HC Artmann , Alois Brandstetter , Werner Dürrson , Paul Flora , Fritz Kalmar and Ernst Schönwiese appeared . Pixner is a member of the Austrian PEN Club , the literary group Podium and the Austrian Association of Writers . Her stories and poems were printed in newspapers ( Die Furche , Salzburger Nachrichten , Rheinischer Merkur ) and in literary magazines ( Literature and Criticism , Pannonia , El Correo Gallego ). Pixner's texts can be found in anthologies (Mosaik, Pen-Club, Suhrkamp ) and in school reading books, and some of them have been published on ORF. The Harmonica Classica association has published a setting of Pixner's poems as a Wienerlied CD. Pixner also publishes in English, Hungarian and Spanish.
