Werner Dürrson
Werner Thomas Dürrson (actually Werner Thomas Dürr , born September 12, 1932 in Schwenningen am Neckar , † April 17, 2008 in Neufra ) was a German writer .
Life
After completing secondary school in 1949, Dürrson completed an apprenticeship in Stuttgart . From 1953 to 1955 he studied with a scholarship at the music teacher’s seminar in Trossingen , where he passed the state examination in 1955 . In 1957 he made up his Abitur and then studied German , Romance languages and musicology in Munich and Tübingen . In 1962 he received his doctorate in Tübingen. From 1962 to 1968 he was a lecturer in German language and literature at the University of Poitiers and from 1968 to 1978 at a private institute in Zurich . Since then Dürrson has lived as a freelance writer and translator in Upper Swabia and Paris . He wrote poetry , short stories, and essays ; he also translated from French . While his early work is still under the influence of Hermann Hesse , during his stay in France he received fundamental impulses from surrealist artists such as Max Ernst and authors such as René Char . Dürrson was a member of the Association of German Writers , the PEN Center of the Federal Republic of Germany , the Association Internationale des Critiques Littéraires and the Humboldt Society . He died at the age of 75 at Neufra Castle.
