Margarita Kinstner

Margarita Kinstner (* 1976 in Vienna ) is an Austrian writer .

Life

Margarita Kinstner grew up in Vienna. After the AHS Matura, she completed her training as a kindergarten teacher and worked for 15 years as a kindergarten and after-school teacher. From 2009 to 2013 she was co-organizer of “Anno Literatur Sonntag ALSO”, from 2010 to 2013 part of the Viennese reading stage “Noch Dichter”. In 2013 her widely acclaimed debut novel Mittelstadtrauschen was published . In 2014 her first play The Fall of the Seagull premiered at the Styraburg Festival Steyr , followed by performances in Graz, Vienna, Linz and Ried. In 2018 her third novel, "Papaverweg 6", was published, which was awarded the Steiermärkische Sparkasse's literary prize "Schreiberei".

Margarita Kinstner is a member of the Graz authors' collective GRAUKO and a member of the editorial team of the literary magazine & Radieschen . Today the author lives in Graz .
