Annett Krendlesberger

Annett Krendlesberger (born October 5, 1967 in Vienna ) is an Austrian writer.

life and work

Annett Krendlesberger studied philosophy, theater studies and business administration at the University of Vienna. Since 2005 she has published prose texts in literary magazines and anthologies. Her writing focuses on the characters' inner experience. Her first publication appeared in the literary magazine Lichtungen .

In 2006 she took part in the FM4 literary competition Wortlaut 06 and received 3rd prize for the story inseltreiben . Two years later, the 2nd prize followed at Wortlaut 08 for the short story " Flaschendrehn" .

She was awarded the Theodor Körner Prize for Literature in 2010 for her work on her first book Burden of Proof (Prose in Episodes).

The burden of proof was published in 2011 by Kitab-Verlag, the same year the short story volume Flaschendrehn. 2016 followed the story collection but also in Kitab. Two sheets and two (prose) was published in 2018 by the Verlag Bibliothek der Provinz.

Annett Krendlesberger lives and works in Vienna. She is a member of the Graz Authors' Assembly and the Podium literature group.
