Peter Huemer (* 1952 in Linz ) is an Austrian visual artist , painter and graphic artist .

Life

Peter Huemer studied "free graphics" with Alfons Ortner at the Art University Linz and graduated in 1972 with a diploma for "free graphics". He has been a member of the MÆRZ artists' association since 1974 . From 1982 to 1984 he was in charge of the MÆRZ workshop ( etching , lithography ) and its gallery. From 1985 to 2002 he was on the board of the artists' association MÆRZ .

From 1994 to 1997 he organized copy workshops ( copigraphy ) at the Linz Art Academy . From 1990 to 1998 he was an exhibition organizer and curator in the field of “Medium Photocopy”. In 1995 he also gave a copy workshop at the University of Western Australia in Perth.

In 2001 he received a teaching position for an "Intermediate Laboratory" at the Art University Linz - Institute for Art and Cultural Studies.
