The 2006 EBSA U19 European Snooker Championship was the tenth edition of the European Junior Snooker Championship organized by the European Billiards and Snooker Association . It took place from April 3rd to 8th, 2006 at the NB Club in Riga . The Latvian capital hosted the European Junior Championship for the second time after 2003 .

The European champion was the Englishman Ben Woollaston with a 6: 4 victory in the final against the Irish Vincent Muldoon . Woollaston qualified for the 2006/07 Main Tour .

mode

The 58 participating players were divided into eight groups of seven or eight players each, in which they competed against each other in round robin mode . The four best placed in each group qualified for the final round, which was played in the knockout system .
