The EBSA Snooker European Championship 2012 was the 21st staging of the European Billiards and Snooker Association hosted European Championship in Snooker . It took place from June 6-14, 2012 at the Daugavpils Olympic Center in Daugavpils , Latvia .
With a 7-3 win in the final against Irishman Brendan O'Donoghue , Scott Donaldson became European Champion and qualified for the Main Tour seasons 2012/13 and 2013/14 .

The 80 participants were divided into 16 groups with five players each, in which they competed against each other in round robin mode . The four best placed in each group qualified for the final round, which was played in the knockout system .
