The EBSA U19 European Snooker Championship 2009 was the 13th edition of the Junior European Snooker Championship organized by the European Billiards and Snooker Association . It took place in the Leader Billiard Club in Saint Petersburg , Russia .
The Belgian Luca Brecel became European champion with a 6-5 win in the final against the Englishman Michael Wasley . At the age of 14, Brecel is the youngest player to win the European Junior Championship.

The 50 participating players were divided into eight groups of five to seven players each, in which they competed against each other in round robin mode . The four best placed in each group qualified for the final round, which was played in the knockout system .
