As a professional

In his first season as a professional Wasley reached the final round of a full ranking tournament after qualifying for the last 32 of the German Masters 2013 in Berlin with victories over Jack Lisowski and Peter Ebdon . There he failed, however, in the first round 5-1 to Neil Robertson .

At the 2014 World Snooker Championship, Wasley caused the biggest surprise when he defeated tournament favorite Ding Junhui with 9:10 in the first round . Wasley had previously prevailed against Antony Parsons , Chen Zhe , Mark Joyce and Robert Milkins in the qualifying rounds .

His best result in a minor ranking tournament was reaching the round of 16 at PTC Event 4 . There he defeated Ryan Day , Liu Chuang and Kurt Maflin .

At the German Masters 2015 Wasley reached the finals in Berlin, but lost his first game against Shaun Murphy with 1: 5. At the following Welsh Open he made it to the third round.

In the 2015/16 season he only managed one victory in qualifying for the Australian Open and the Shanghai Masters . He finished the season in 86th place in the world snooker rankings , which meant that he lost his place on the Main Tour.
