EBSA European Snooker Championship 2009

The EBSA Snooker European Championship 2009 was the 18th edition of the European Billiards and Snooker Association hosted European Championship in Snooker . It took place from June 4th to 13th, 2009 in Duffel , Belgium . European champion was the Irishman David Hogan with a 7: 4 victory in the final against his compatriot Mario Fernandez . Hogan thus received a starting place for the 2009/10 Main Tour season .

mode

The 70 participating players were divided into ten groups of seven players each, in which they competed against each other in round robin mode . The top three in each group qualified for the final round, which was played in the knockout system .
