David Hogan (born May 7, 1988 ) is an Irish snooker player .

Career

Hogan qualified as EBSA European Amateur Champion 2009 for the Main Tour - 2009/10 season . During the season, however, he only won two of his opening games and finished the season on rank 85, which was not enough to defend his place on the professional tour.

In the following season as an amateur he was able to earn a new Main Tour ticket by taking first place in the national ranking of Ireland. The 2011/12 season started relatively well for him: In qualifying for the Shanghai Masters 2011 , he scored two victories. However, his performance stagnated for the rest of the 2011 calendar year; he lost his opening match at almost all PTC tournaments and ranked tournament qualifications.
