The EBSA Snooker European Championship 2008 was the 17th edition of the European Billiards and Snooker Association hosted European Championship in Snooker . It took place from June 4th to 15th, 2008 in Lublin , Poland . The Englishman David Grace became European champion with a 7: 6 final victory against his compatriot Craig Steadman . Grace received a starting place for the 2008/09 Main Tour season .

The 64 participating players were divided into eight groups of eight players each, in which they competed against each other in round robin mode . The four best placed in each group qualified for the final round, which was played in the knockout system .
