Marcin Nitschke (born May 26, 1983 in Zielona Góra ) is a Polish snooker player .

Career

In 2002 Nitschke made it into the finals of the Polish Championship for the first time , in which he won his first national title by beating Krzysztof Wróbel 4-0 . After he was eliminated in the preliminary round at his first European Championship participation in the same year , he took part in the Amateur World Championship for the first time in October , where he reached the final round and in the round of 32 the Irishman Martin McCrudden with 0: 5 was subject. In 2003 he made it to the final of the Polish Championship again, but now he lost 5-1 to Rafał Jewtuch .

In July 2004, Nitschke retired in his only participation in the U-21 World Cup in the preliminary round. In June 2005 he moved into the final round of the European Championship for the first time , in which he lost 4-5 to Welsh Gavin Pantall in the round of 32. In 2006 he reached the sixteenth finals again and was eliminated from Jamie Jones . In 2007 Nitschke became Polish champion for the second time with a 7: 4 win in the final against Jacek Walter . At the European Championships and the Amateur World Cup in 2007 , however, he was eliminated in the preliminary round.

At the Polish Championship in 2008 Nitschke moved into the final for the fourth time, in which, however, he had to admit defeat to record winner Rafał Jewtuch 6: 7. After he was eliminated again in the sixteenth finals at the 2008 European Championships , Nitschke reached the second round of the 2008 amateur world championships after victories against Ahmed Saif and Mohammed Sammy , which he lost 3: 5 to Soheil Vahedi . At the EM 2009 he was eliminated again in the round of 32.

In the 2010/11 season Nitschke took part in two tournaments of the newly introduced Players Tour Championship , where he was eliminated in the round of 128 in both the opening tournament and the Brugge Open 2010 . In June 2011, he moved through a 4-0 win against the Belgian Yvan Van Velthoven for the first time in the round of 16 of the European Championship , in which he lost to Kevin van Hove 4-5. At the Warsaw Classic 2011 he was eliminated in the preliminary round against Sean O'Sullivan . At the 2011 Amateur World Cup , he reached the round of 48, in which he lost to Syrian Omar al-Kojah .

In 2012 Nitschke made it into the finals of the Polish Championship for the fifth time. There, like ten years earlier, he met Krzysztof Wróbel, to whom he was now defeated 7-0. In June 2012, he again reached the EM -Achtelfinale. At the Amateur World Cup in 2012 , he lost in the round of 64 against Mohsen Bukshaisha . At the EM 2013 he lost to the Israeli Shachar Ruberg in the sixteenth finals . After reaching the round of 128 at the Gdynia Open 2014 , he was eliminated in the preliminary round in 2015 . In June 2015 he was eliminated from the European Championships in the round of 32. In November 2015 he reached the second round of a PTC tournament for the first time at the Bulgarian Open . After he had moved into the main round with a 4-0 win over Nicholas Roberts , he got into the round of 64 without a fight because of the cancellation of his opponent Tian Pengfei , in which he lost 4-0 to Nigel Bond . At the following PTC tournament, the Gibraltar Open 2015 , he was eliminated in the preliminary round.
