Marcin Rafał Jewtuch (born April 17, 1973 in Warsaw ) is a Polish snooker player . With four titles so far, he is the Polish record champion .

Career

After he was eliminated in the semi-finals in 1996, Rafał Jewtuch made it into the final of the Polish championship for the first time in 1997 , defeating defending champion Tomasz Kościelak 5-1. Three years later he reached the final again and lost to Marek Derek 2: 6. In 2002 he was eliminated from the preliminary round at his first European Championship participation. In 2003 he reached the final of the Polish championship for the third time, beating defending champion Marcin Nitschke 5-1. In the following two years he lost in the final against Jarosław Kowalski .

In May 2005 he made it into the final round of the European Championship for the first time, in which he was defeated by the eventual European champion Alex Borg in the round of 32 with 2: 5. In 2006 he became Polish champion for the third time with a 7: 5 win in the final against Rafał Górecki , drawing level with record winner Marek Derek. In November 2006 he took part for the first time in the Amateur World Championship , where he was eliminated in the round of 32 against Stefan Mazrocis .

In 2008 Jewtuch became Polish champion for the fourth time with a 7: 6 win in the final against defending champion Marcin Nitschke. In the 2008/09 season he took part as a wildcard player in two tournaments of the World Series of Snooker . After losing 4-0 to Mark Selby at the opening tournament in St. Helier in the quarter-finals , he was eliminated in the quarter-finals at the tournament in Warsaw after a 4-0 defeat by Steve Davis . In 2010 he reached the final of the Polish championship for the eighth time and was defeated there by defending champion Michał Zieliński 7-0.

In September 2011 he took part in the Warsaw Classic , and thus for the first time in a PTC tournament, in which, however, he was eliminated in the preliminary round against Phil O'Kane . After being at the Gdynia Open 2014 after wins over Marcin Bek and Ross Higgins was called up for the first time in the main round of a PTC tournament in which he in the Round of 128 with 0: 4 against Tom Ford lost, he retired in 2015 already in the preliminary round. At the Polish championship in 2015 he won the senior title for the first time.

Jewtuch currently plays for the Warsaw Billiards Club Bilabar Warszawa .
