The Players Tour Championship 2010/11 - Event 1 was a snooker tournament that took place from June 25 to 27, 2010 at the World Snooker Academy in Sheffield . It was the first tournament of the newly introduced Players Tour Championship (PTC), with which the tournament calendar was to be enlarged and the permeability between amateur and professional areas improved. Amateur players could also register for the tournament and qualify for the main tournament in a preliminary round. 73 professional players and 77 amateurs had registered for the tournament.
In addition to the 73 professionals, 33 amateurs also got a starting place in the main tournament. The remaining 44 players played a qualifying round on June 24th before the start of the main round to fill the 22 remaining starting places.
128 participants started the main tournament on June 25th. On the first day, the upper half of the seeding list played its first three rounds, on Saturday the lower half was in action. The last four rounds from the round of 16 to the final were played on the final Sunday.
In the first round, the Norwegian Kurt Maflin scored the 71st official maximum break in professional snooker. In total, the players managed 46 breaks of 100 points or more, 4 of them in the qualification of the amateurs.
