various

Because of his style of clothing and his frequently changing hairstyle, Dominic Dale is considered one of the most eccentric players on the Main Tour. That earned him the nickname Spaceman .

Besides snooker, singing is one of his great passions. The Welshman has completed a vocal training and likes to entertain the audience and his fellow campaigners with his singing skills at exhibitions or press conferences, for example after his victory at the Shanghai Masters in 2007.

Dominic Dale lived in Vienna from 2007 to 2011 and is an honorary member of the 15 Reds Köö Vienna Snooker Club . In June 2011 Dale moved back to England near Gloucester due to the high travel costs that would have resulted from the increase in the number of tournaments for the 2011/12 snooker season from Vienna. Occasionally he comments on broadcasts of snooker tournaments for the BBC .
