Patrick Einsle (born April 22, 1987 in Füssen ) is a German snooker player .

Career

Career start

Einsle started playing snooker in 1998. He made his first century break at the age of 14.

He was a participant in the World Games 2005 in snooker, but failed in round one with 1: 3 to the later gold medalist, the Northern Irishman Gerard Greene . At the German Open 2006 in Fürth Einsle prevailed against Fergal O'Brien and Stephen Lee and was only eliminated 2: 3 in the quarter-finals against the later finalist Barry Hawkins .

First season on the main tour

On July 27, 2006, he received a call from Mike Ganley of the World Snooker Association , who offered him a wildcard for the Snooker Main Tour , which entitles him to participate in the most important tournaments of the snooker professionals. Einsle benefited from the absence of Paul Hunter due to illness .

Einsle had to contest his first qualifying match on the Main Tour only three days after being called up, he lost in the qualification for the Northern Ireland Trophy with 0: 5 against Lee Page.

In qualifying for the Grand Prix , he survived the first two rounds in 2006 and was able to collect some points for the snooker world rankings. He lost his third qualifying match for the Malta Cup 4-5 to Mark Joyce.

In qualifying for the Masters, he was eliminated in the first round, he was defeated by Christopher Norbury 1: 4. Einsle also lost the first qualifying round in qualifying for the UK Championship and the Welsh Open , losing to Judd Trump 9-0 and Lee Spick 5-1.

He suffered another first round defeat in qualifying for the China Open (2: 5 against Andrew Higginson ). Also in the qualification for the World Cup he failed in the first round against Passakorn Suwannawat with 4:10. In the end, he finished 94th in the snooker world rankings (among 96 listed players) and thus clearly missed staying on the Main Tour.

Amateur phase 2007–2010

On November 1, 2009, Einsle defeated his friend and training partner Itaro Santos 4-2 in the final of the German championships that took place in Bad Wildungen , thus securing the German championship title for the first time. In the course of the tournament he only gave up two frames.

Second season on the main tour

For the 2010/11 season of the Snooker Main Tour he received another wildcard in June 2010.

He achieved his first successes at the third event of the Players Tour Championship , when he defeated Jimmy Robertson and then even ex-world champion Peter Ebdon and was only eliminated in round 3, and later also in qualifying for the Shanghai Masters 2010 , where he survived the first qualifying round. in the second round but defeated the Irish Joe Delaney . After the first update of the world rankings (after EPTC Event 2) he was ranked 87th.

At the sixth event of the tour, he defeated Nigel Bond in the first round and was defeated by Ali Carter ( second in the world rankings at the time) just 3: 4.

In December 2010 Patrick Einsle left the main tour voluntarily.

Third season on the main tour and end of professional career

In April 2013 Einsle won one of the three finals of the EBSA Qualifying Tour and thus received a two-year tour ticket for the snooker seasons 2013/14 and 2014/15 . In March 2014 he announced that he would not play the second year of professionalism and that he would end his professional career.

Pool

Einsle actively played pool billiards at BSC Füssen in the 2011/12 season . In the 2012/13 season he played with BV Fortuna Straubing 2 in the regional league. In 2013 he played with the third team of Fortuna Straubing in the regional league. In the 2014/15 season Einsle was with the 2nd team of Fortuna Straubing champion in the 2nd Bundesliga.

Others

He scored his highest break so far of 146 points in a U21 tournament. On the professional tour he managed a century break of exactly 100 points.
