At the age of 18, he was the youngest winner of the national championship until 2019. His best result at the U19 European Championship was his last appearance in 2006, when he moved into the round of 32 and was eliminated by Jordan Brown . In the same year he won the Ukraine Open Cup, also in the final against Kulyk, and defended his title in the national championship with a 3-0 final win against Hryhorij Chymotschka , the winner of 2004. He had not lost a frame during the entire tournament. In 2007 he won the Ukraine Open Cup again against Denys Waschtschuk and secured his third national championship title, this time in the final against Artūrs Elsts from Latvia (3-1). In the following year he moved into the final round for the first time at the European Championships and was only barely defeated by the Belgian Yvan Van Velthoven (3: 4) in the round of 32 . At the Ukrainian Cup (against Denys Waschtschuk) and at the national championship in 2008 (against Serhiy Petrasch ) he was eliminated in the semifinals. Between the two tournaments was his first participation in the amateur world championship , which ended with only three frames won after the preliminary round. In November 2008 he lost to the fourth tournament of the World Series of Snooker 2008/09 in Moscow , for which he had been nominated as one of five wildcard players, in the first round with 0: 4 to the Chinese professional Ding Junhui .

In 2009 Issajenko managed to win the Ukrainian Cup and the championship again. In the cup final he defeated Peters Strazdins (3: 0) and his fourth national championship title he secured in the final against Ruslan Ostrowskyj (3: 0). While he repeated his success in the cup a year later, this time against Wladyslaw Vyshnevskyj , he had to admit defeat 3-0 in the semifinals of Serhiy Petrasch at the Ukrainian championship in 2010. In 2011 he won the Ukraine Trophy in the final against Dmytro Ossypenko . After a defeat in the final against Alan Trigg in the final tournament of the Cup, the end of the national championship followed in the round of 16 against Maksym Stoljartschuk . A little later he reached the final round for the first time at the amateur world championship in Bangalore and was defeated by ex-professional Craig MacGillivray 1: 5 in the round of 32 . At the end of the year he reached the final of the Belarusian Cup and lost 3-2 to Dzmitryj Tschuprou .

In the final tournament of the Cup, however, he was eliminated in the round of 16.

So he reached the final of the Ukrainian Cup, in which he lost to Alan Trigg 3-4 , and reached the semifinals at the tournament of the Baltic Snooker League in Lviv, as well as at the Ukrainian Independence Cup and the qualifying tournament of the Paul Hunter Classic 2019 .
