Harvey Chandler (born April 19, 1995 ) is an English snooker player from Raunds in Northamptonshire .

Career

Harvey Chandler started playing snooker when he was 13. At the age of 17 he tried his hand at tournaments open to professionals and amateurs. At the third PTC tournament in Gloucester , he survived the amateur qualification and lost his main round match against Robert Milkins 4-0. After that, however, he did not deal seriously with snooker for three years because he lacked the financial basis and he took up a permanent job. It wasn't until 2016 that he started playing intensively again and trying to make the leap into professional snooker. However , he failed early in the two Q-School tournaments. In local Pro-Am tournaments, he won against Barry Pinches and Mark King , a top 32 professional. He had a greater sense of achievement at the Paul Hunter Classic 2017 , one of two tournaments on the professional tour that are open to amateurs . There he reached the main round and defeated the professional player Li Yuan 4-2. In February 2018 he took part in the European Amateur Championships in Bulgaria. He confidently reached the semifinals, where he defeated the Scots Fraser Patrick 6-2. With Jordan Brown he met another ex-professional there and he won against him 7-2. As a European champion, he got professional status and the right to start for the 2018/19 and 2019/20 seasons .
