The EBSA Snooker European Championship 2016 was the 25th staging of the of the European Billiards and Snooker Association hosted European Championship in Snooker . It took from 13 to 20 February 2016 at the Haston City Hotel in Polish Wroclaw instead.

The Welshman Jak Jones became European champion with a 7: 4 victory in the final against last year's finalist Jamie Rhys Clarke . Jones qualified for the 2016/17 and 2017/18 Main Tour seasons .

mode

The 146 participating players were divided into 24 groups of six or seven players each, in which they competed against each other in round robin mode . The top four in each group qualified for the final round, which was played in the knockout system from February 18 to 20 , with the group winners receiving a bye in the first round .
