Rodion Judin (born July 15, 1997 ) is a Latvian snooker player from Salaspils .

Career

In April 2011 Rodion Judin took part in the U21 European Championship for the first time and was eliminated from the preliminary round without a win. Also at the U21 Euro 2012 and Euro 2012 , his first participation in the Men's European Championship, he was eliminated without a win in the group stage. In March 2014 he became Latvian champions with a 7-2 final win over Vladimir Ladin . It was also his first medal placement in the Latvian men's championship. At the Riga Open 2014 , his first participation in a PTC tournament, he lost 4-0 to Englishman William Lemmons in the first qualifying round .

At the U21 European Championship 2015 Judin reached the last sixteen, in which he lost 2: 4 to Adam Stefanów . In April 2015 he was able to qualify for the professional world championship for the first time after being nominated by the Latvian association. In the first qualifying round he was able to come up to 5: 7 after a 1: 5 deficit against Peter Lines , but he finally lost 6:10. At the Latvian championship in 2015 he reached the quarter-finals. In June 2015 he made it to the final round of the men's European championship for the first time. He lost to John Whitty in the round of 64 . At the U21 World Cup in 2015 he also reached the round of 64. At the Riga Open 2015 , he moved into the round of 128 with a 4-3 win against Maris Volajs , in which he defeated Mark King 0-4 lost. In the 2015/16 season he took part in two other PTC tournaments, the Bulgarian Open 2015 and the Gdynia Open 2016 , in which he was eliminated in the qualification. In October 2015 he reached the quarter-finals of the U18 World Cup . At the U21 European Championship in 2016 , he made it to the round of 16 and lost to Lukas Kleckers there . A few days later he was eliminated from the men's European championship in the round of 96. In the qualification for the professional world championship 2016 he was defeated by the Chinese Cao Yupeng in the first round with 0:10.

In May 2016, Judin became the Latvian champion for the second time with a 7-0 victory in the final against Tatjana Vasiljeva . A few days later he reached the round of 16 at the Six Red European Championship.

At the Riga Masters 2018 , Judin received a wild card for a qualifier against Jimmy White .
