Regina Kehn

Regina Kehn (* 1962 in Hamburg ) is a German illustrator of children's and youth literature .

Life

She studied illustration at the University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg. She completed her studies in 1989 with a diploma in children's books.

Since 1990 she has been working as a freelancer for magazines ( Stern , Der Spiegel , Focus etc.), in advertising (campaigns for Stern, Rotring, Kitekat etc.), for children's book publishers (Fischer, dtv, Dressler, Ravensburger, Thienemann) and for television ( NDR , Siebenstein ).

She has created picture books, cover designs and interior illustrations for numerous authors, including a. for Anna Woltz , Michael Ende , Cornelia Funke , Jo Pestum , Eva Ibbotson , Polly Horvath , Marie-Aude Murail , Salah Naoura , Otfried Preußler , Jenny Nimmo and Andreas Steinhöfel .

In 2015 she designed a postage stamp for Deutsche Post for the first time .

Today she lives in Hamburg with her husband and two daughters.
