Christa Zeuch

Christa Zeuch (born December 7, 1941 in Berlin-Lichterfelde ) is a German author for children and young people.

Live and act

Christa Zeuch grew up in Berlin. In 1966 she moved to Bonn with her husband and two children. After attending commercial school and training to sing, she worked as a secretary, prop master and ophthalmologist assistant. She then did musical and creative work with children in a family education center .

In 1978 Christa Zeuch made an award-winning debut with Below is the bread roll and has been a freelance writer since 1984 . She writes for children and young people between the ages of three and fourteen and has so far published around 50 book titles with stories, songs and poems. Her texts can also be found in numerous anthologies , school and choir books, they were broadcast on the radio and, last but not least, formed the basis for her meanwhile approx. 3500 musically designed author readings in schools. Her numerous books for children and young people have appeared among others. a. at Oetinger and Arena Verlag . Since 2013 it has also published new editions of out-of-print titles in the Gegenwind edition .

The author is a member of the Friedrich-Bödecker-Kreis (nationwide and in Schleswig-Holstein) and until 1996 also belonged to the Association of German Writers .

Christa Zeuch lives with her husband near Eckernförde .
