New edition
In publishing, the term new edition refers to the new edition of a previously published printed work .
While the new edition or new edition of a book is published by the same publisher in terms of content and features with unchanged signs , a new edition can sometimes differ significantly from earlier versions of a title and is usually identified by a new international standard book number (ISBN).
The first translation of a book into another language is not viewed as a new edition, but as a work of its own, which in turn can be reissued.
