The suitcase

Siebenstein is the title of a German children's TV series that ran on ZDF from 1988 to 1997 and is now broadcast on KiKA .

The series is about Ms. Siebenstein, who owns a junk shop , where she talks to the cheeky and brazen raven Rudi and the know-it-all suitcase and tells the two stories .

Authors and guest roles

The frame stories in the junk shop were often written between 1988 and 2003 by well-known children's book authors such as Paul Maar , Gudrun Mebs , Rudolf Herfurtner , Kirsten Boie and Cornelia Funke .

Over the years many actors have appeared in Siebenstein, in addition to Adelheid Arndt for example Kurt Schmidtchen , Ilona Schulz, Ursula Staack , Evelyn Meyka , Richard Süssenguth , Heinz Werner Kraehkamp and Constanze Harpen . The more recent episodes include Dirk Bach , Ingolf Lück , Fritzi Haberlandt , Thomas Heinze , Richy Müller , Rolf Kanies , Otto Sander and Victor Schefé .

Filming location and new concepts in 2004 and 2007

The series was shot from 1988 to 2003 in Regensburger Strasse 5 in Berlin-Schöneberg . The junk shop was there in a real shop. Since 2004 the series has been produced in a studio that was set up in a former French military church in Berlin. At the same time, a new team took on the task: Instead of Götz Brandt and Irene Wellershoff , the inventor of Siebenstein and meanwhile editor-in-chief in the ZDF children's program, Ina Werner and Katrin Pilz are now the responsible editors. Mrs. Siebenstein is no longer embodied by Adelheid Arndt, but by Henriette Heinze . The structure of the program has also been revised: most of the stories are no longer told by Ms. Siebenstein, but rather by the suitcase. By reporting on his numerous trips from the past, viewers are presented with instructive cartoons about historical events . At the end of each episode, the Siebensteiners sing a song that fits the content of the current events. Some of these songs were published on the CDs Rudi's Greatest Songs Vol. 1 and 2.

Offshoots Naughty like Rudi and Hallo, this is Rudi

The first offshoot was the series Frech wie Rudi , which only dealt with Rudi the raven. A total of 21 episodes were shot.

As an offshoot of Siebenstein, the five-minute comedy show Hello, this is Rudi was created . The protagonist of the show was the raven Rudi. The series, produced between 1997 and 2000, was broadcast on Sundays; The first broadcast date on ZDF was September 19, 1999 as part of the ZDFtivi children's and youth program . On June 4, 2000, the broadcast was initially set for copyright reasons. The concept of the show was to combine the various mini-films. The program was based on sketches with the two main actors, the raven Rudi and Mr. Blöhmann as the owner of the Siebenstein store. The former usually asked questions over the phone.

The Rudi & Trudi series was also created .
