Evelyn Meyka

Evelyn Meyka (born December 5, 1936 in Berlin ; actually Evelyn Müller-Meyka ) is a German actress , radio play and voice actress .

Live and act

The trained pianist and milliner graduated from Hilde Körber's Max Reinhardt School for Drama in 1959 . In 1960 she made her debut in the Amerikahaus in the play Die Heiratsschwindlerin . Then she got an engagement at the Deutsches Theater . After the Wall was built in 1961, she played on West Berlin stages such as the Schaubühne on Halleschen Ufer and in the stands .

Meyka has subscribed to supporting roles in film and television productions (such as Praxis Bülowbogen , St. Pauli-Landungsbrücken , Ein Fall für Zwei , Edel & Starck or Axel! To name just a few). She can also be found on stage from time to time, for example at the Ernst-Deutsch-Theater in Hamburg or with the Berlin voles .

In the cinema she was seen alongside international stars such as Romy Schneider and Brad Dourif in Aleksandar Petrović's Böll film adaptation of the novel Gruppebild mit Dame (1977). She also had smaller roles in Loriot's Pappa ante portas and in Hape Kerkeling's No Pardon and Willi and the Windzors or in the literary film adaptation of Molle with Korn as Karl's mother.

As a voice actress she can be heard as Mrs. Martin in the children's radio play series Bibi and Tina . She also spoke Conni Hudak in David and Lisa (1962), the strict teacher Miss Finster in Disney's Big Break and the crazy mother Flodder in the television series Flodder as well as Miss Trunchbull in Matilda . The mother of three lives in Potsdam today .
