The Life and Death of Peter Sellers is an American-British drama directed by Stephen Hopkins (in German: Peter Sellers whole life). It was produced in 2004 with Geoffrey Rush (title role), Charlize Theron , Emily Watson , John Lithgow , Stephen Fry and Stanley Tucci . The script is based on the 1995 biography of Roger Lewis .

The film mainly shows the private life of the English actor Peter Sellers (1925–1980, filmography ). It illuminates his comedic genius as well as his nightmarish inner life. The film begins in 1959 with the BBC radio production The Goon Show , accompanies him through various stages in his filmmaking, his marriages, his first child and retreating to a Swiss chalet , where he reminisces about his private life and career.
