Heidi Klum (born June 1, 1973 in Bergisch Gladbach , bourgeois Heidi Samuel from 2009 to 2012 ) is a German model . She has also been a US citizen since 2008 . She works as a juror , presenter and producer of the television programs Germany's Next Topmodel , Queen of Drags and America's Got Talent . Until 2018 she was co-producer, presenter and jury chairman at Project Runway .

Life

Klum grew up in Bergisch Gladbach and attended comprehensive school in the Paffrath district , from which she graduated from high school. Her father Günther is a skilled chemical worker and former production manager at perfume manufacturer 4711 , her mother Erna is a trained hairdresser , and her mother's earlier relationship is a half-brother born in 1964.

In 1997, Klum married the Australian star hairdresser Ric Pipino, with whom she lived in New York . The separation followed in 2002 and the divorce in 2003. criticism

The animal rights organization PETA awarded Klum the Worst Dressed Award Germany in 2008 because of their preference for fur .

Klum's hidden camera program Seriously Funny Kids was also criticized .
