One calls an image converter
- generally an apparatus that carries out image conversion , for example imaging processes but also analog-digital conversion in digital photography or possibly also digital-analog conversion during exposure ;
- an X-ray device that, with the help of computer technology, enables real-time - i.e. during an operative procedure - to assess X-ray findings on a screen .
- an image converter tube that converts an infrared image directly into a visible image on a fluorescent screen (e.g. in night vision devices ).
