The Heidi Klum Rose is a modern floribunda rose from Tantau that was bred in 1999 with the registration number RT 00681 . She was selected by Heidi Klum from 15 rose varieties in autumn 2003 and christened by her in 2005. Tantau crossed them from the Old Port and Barkarole varieties .

It is a richly blooming rose with a compact growth and an intense fragrance. Under normal conditions, it reaches a height of 40 to 50 cm. The predominantly purple flowers reach a size of up to 9 cm, are very double and have up to 40 petals . The rose leaves are medium green and lush foliage. They bloom from June to the end of November.

The Heidi Klum rose is frost hardy to −23 ° C ( USDA zone 6 ) but easily susceptible to powdery mildew and blackened soot . Therefore, she needs regular maintenance.
