Emily Watson
Emily Margaret Watson , OBE (born January 14, 1967 in Islington , London ) is a British actress .
life and career
Although she was denied drama school three times, Watson joined the Royal Shakespeare Company in 1992 .
Watson was nominated for an Oscar for Best Actress in 1997 for her debut in Breaking the Waves and in 1999 for Hilary & Jackie - in which she played the cellist Jacqueline du Pré . For Breaking the Waves she was also awarded the European Film Prize in the Best Actress category. Although she works almost exclusively in the independent sector, she took on the role of Reba McClane in Red Dragon , in the same year she played a supporting role in Equilibrium . In the English dubbing of the German animation film Back to Gaya , she spoke one of the characters, as well as in Corpse Bride - Wedding with a corpse .
Watson has been married to her fellow actor from The Boxer , Jack Waters, since 1995 and has a daughter (* 2005) and a son (* 2009) with him. In 2015 she was awarded the Order of the British Empire .
