When he refuses, she threatens to call his girlfriend. Your boss sends four brothers after him to beat the money out of him.

Egan discovers that buying a particular pudding will earn you a disproportionate amount of airline miles. So he buys entire pallets of this pudding for around $ 3,000 .

Egan meets Lena Leonard, an employee of one of his sisters. When Lena flies to Hawaii on business , Barry follows her and they spend the night together. After an accident caused by the gangsters, he leaves Lena's bedside and goes to Utah to confront the owner of the phone sex hotline. Then he returns and makes up with Lena.

Reviews

"Bittersweet love story that tells of the triumph of intimacy over the anonymity of modernity and appeals to you despite some staging deficiencies thanks to the enchanting play of the two main actors."

James Berardinelli wrote on ReelViews that the film was an unconventional romantic comedy. There are too few scenes with the "talented" Emily Watson.

Roger Ebert wrote in the Chicago Sun-Times of October 18, 2002 that the film could be understood as a critique of the other comedies starring Adam Sandler. He shows a destroyed man who suffers from the dominant demeanor of his sisters and who is not to be trifled with. Ebert asked if Sandler could make more such profound films in the future.
