Last Exit Reno ( Sydney / Hard Eight ) is an American thriller directed by Paul Thomas Anderson and produced in 1996.

action

The Sydney player meets the much younger John Finnegan, whom he teaches various tricks in the casinos in Reno . There, John introduces Sydney to his friend Jimmy, who works as a security officer at the casino.

Through Sydney, John meets the waitress Clementine. After two months he marries her. A suitor who cheats Clementine out of her money on the same day is held hostage by John and her in the hotel room. Called for help, Sydney helps the two to get out of this situation, and they go on their honeymoon at Niagara Falls.

John's boyfriend, Jimmy, blackmailed Sydney, who killed John's father years ago. First, he pays him $ 6,000. During the night, Sydney breaks into Jimmy's house, waits for him there and shoots Jimmy.
