Molle with grain is a mini-series of ARD , based on the novel templates Muckefuck and Molle with grain by Georg Lentz is based; the third part of this trilogy - whites with a shot - was not made into a film.

Emergence

The ARD production was shot in 1988 on behalf of SFB Werbung GmbH under the direction of Uwe Frießner . The script for the series was written by Ulrich del Mestre , Heinz-Dieter Ziesing and Uwe Friessner . The German first broadcast (EA) took place every Wednesday from March 12, 1989 on ARD. There were nine other broadcasts on it. In 2006 the miniseries was also released as a four-part DVD set. The main role of Karl Kaiser was played by Roger Huebner .

Beginning in the war year 1944, the struggle for survival of the youth Karl Kaiser and his family is described. When their house is bombed, the emperors move back to the Tausendschön colony , where Karl's secret love Gigi also lives.

In the war years, hunger and deprivation are the order of the day, and in order to survive, the colony inhabitants develop "organizing". Karl's grandmother dies and his mother goes to a sanatorium . Karl now lives alone in the arbor and fought for survival with a lot of cunning, ingenuity and typical Berlin humor until the Berlin blockade was lifted in May 1949.
